We have been here for 3 months officially and rainy season has begun. Language learning has been going well, although it does seem to be slowing down a little bit these last few weeks. Praise the Lord we are still progressing and able to continue learning and pressing on.

Here is a cute picture of Joshua, who wanted to say: “thank YOU.” Yes, he is pointing right at YOU. We are super grateful to the Lord Jesus for YOUR support in our lives here on the other side of the world. It has been quite the journey already and we realize that if the Lord keeps us here we have a long journey ahead of us.
Please keep us in your prayers,
-We have been realizing a strong need for intentionally trying to become better friends with our neighbors around here. It is very important in this community to show your friendliness by visiting your neighborhood which literally means just showing up at their house. Sometimes this makes for awkward situations especially because we are only just starting to be able to communicate with people. Please pray for our courage to get out there and get our hands dirty.
-We need to be treating our time as valuable. Cherie and I are both working full-time in language learning, meanwhile attempting to raise a child. The stress that this brings sometimes is the catalyst for some ugly attitudes. This can be a good reminder that we are in over our head and need to look to the Lord for strength, however we are not so good at doing that automatically. Please pray for us to continually be seeking out the Lord for the strength to live in His will moment by moment and for the wisdom to spend our time well.
-Praise the Lord that we have started to get some rain. Some friends of ours have been carrying buckets of water to their house because everything has been so dry.
