We are all back in the States safe and sound and thawing out. We incorrectly assumed that since it was April we would be coming back to a nice warm spring. After freezing temperatures and a couple of inches of snow just over a week ago we were corrected. Now, thankfully, it is getting warmer. Aside from the temperature, it has been good to be back and to be around family again.
My last two weeks in Papua New Guinea were spent with a mission team from one of our supporting churches. They helped out in a significant way at our annual islands mission conference and then spent a week in the tribe fixing our boat and doing a number of other projects. They were a huge blessing to us and many other missionaries.
The reason we are back, of course, is for the arrival of our new family member. Lori is due on Wednesday, so we are expecting the baby any time. Because of some circumstances, we have not yet been able to move up to Sioux City. We are staying with Lori’s parents just outside of Kansas City and are having fun with them. We are planning to have the baby here and then Lord willing head up to Sioux City soon.
Thank you for your prayers and we look forward to seeing many of you during our short stay back in the United States.
Aaron
