“What is going on in the tribe and what are you guys up to?”
That is a question we have been asked a bit lately and we wanted to give you all the answer. Occasionally we get updates in regard to the Bible teaching that is continuing in the tribe while we are absent. Here is part of a message I recently received:
“Tasin Malom a bilai na matarahien ta mutal taman ma iau ta kap no num hinhinawas wara balbalu no nu metal hinhinawas palai. Io tasin mehet ta wor ma ira tena nurnur… iau at iau lik be haleng diet manga kap timan no buk Galasia… io huo kai metal gi lik be mehet na laka harsakit at mon ta no buk Rom…

Kaikek mon tasin. No tasim narakoman ta Krais, Tokiung”
Here is the translation:
Brother Aaron (Malom). Good afternoon to your family. I have received your questions and will respond with some information. Brother we have had discussions with the believers…and I think that many of them really understand well the book of Galatians [the study they just completed]… So, because of this we think we will go right away [instead of further review] into a study of the book of Romans…
Thank you brother for the news to us about your return here. We are very excited and we are waiting for your family with joy to see you again.
That is all brother. We are brothers in Christ, Tokiung
There have been struggles in our absence but we are thrilled that they are continuing to study God’s Word. Our excitement to see them again too is beginning to grow. Last week we had a wonderful family reunion in Colorado and were able to see many friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles along the way – many for the first time since we have been back in the States. Now with only 6 weeks left in the States our days are filling up with details to prepare for the next 4 years in Papua New Guinea. In case you are interested or in the area, here is where our family will be for the next 6 Sundays and we would love to see you:
April 14 – Sioux City, IA – Sunnybrook Community Church – get together after am services
April 21 – Camdenton, MO (Aaron only)
April 28 – Crete, NE – Crete Berean Church – adult SS class and morning service
May 5 – Sioux City, IA – Morningside Bible Church – am service
May 12 – Tulsa, OK – Calvary Bible Church – am service
May 19 – Kansas City, MO area – LifeSpring (am attendance); Grace Bible church – pm service
May 26 – Omaha, NE – for departure
You can find details for most of these churches online or you can write to us for more info, but we would love to see you if possible. Also, next week I will be in Missouri for a week and half of meetings in regard to curriculum in tribal locations as well as meetings for consulting tribal locations in regard to culture and language. I would appreciate your prayers for these to be helpful and productive.
Our girls are doing well with the traveling and packing up and are excited for the return. And to answer the other common questions we get…Yes, Briella is doing great. She is now rolling around and slowly dragging herself all over the room.
On the move,
Aaron
Fact – Tax deadlines are on Monday, which reminds us again of so many of you who have given those “tax-deductable” donation through our New Tribes Mission account. Thank you so much for your part in keeping us in ministry.
