{"id":228,"date":"2010-08-25T06:19:56","date_gmt":"2010-08-24T20:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/?p=228"},"modified":"2011-02-19T06:22:29","modified_gmt":"2011-02-18T20:22:29","slug":"and-the-lord-has-taken-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/2010\/08\/25\/and-the-lord-has-taken-away\/","title":{"rendered":"And the Lord has taken away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-199\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/files\/2011\/02\/059-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"059\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/files\/2011\/02\/059-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/files\/2011\/02\/059-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Working on the literacy building.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dear friends and family,<\/p>\n<p>Many of you have been wondering how the first literacy class has been going.\u00a0 We are happy to say that the 16 students continue to be excited and are doing great in the class.\u00a0 The small school house that we began to build however, has had some set-backs.<\/p>\n<p>After all the supplies were cut from the jungle and purchased from town we began preparing the sight for the school house.\u00a0 Our friends through Madonna, Allan and Diane, came from Australia to help us with our ministry here for two weeks and help put up the school house.\u00a0 <!--more-->Things were going well, and just two days ago the roofing tin was ready to be put up when our progress was halted.\u00a0 To make a long story short, because of just a couple of individuals in the community, we were given one day to tear down the house and clear out.<\/p>\n<p>We along with several of the Patpatar Christians were disappointed and wonder why God allowed this to be taken away.\u00a0 But the ministry loss was not the only thing we are facing this week.\u00a0 Our family is also facing a difficult loss.\u00a0 Yesterday as the school house was being torn down, Lori, because of some concerning symptoms in her fourth month of pregnancy was on a boat with Diane headed a few hours away to town to a small New Guinea hospital.\u00a0 There she found out that we have lost the baby.<\/p>\n<p>Today I am in town with her in the local hospital where she will be prepped for delivery tomorrow.\u00a0 We feel that God is giving us comfort though this even though it is quite difficult for us and again we wonder why God allowed this to be taken away.\u00a0 We are thankful that our friends are looking after our girls in the tribe so that Lori and I can be together during this time.\u00a0 We are also thankful that there is a great German doctor here volunteering that is very capable of handling this situation.\u00a0 We would appreciate your prayers, especially for Lori during this procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Aaron<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.\u201d \u2013 Job 1:21<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working on the literacy building.
