This isn\u2019t good.\u00a0 It means the school for reading and writing is going to finish quickly.\u00a0 It would be good if we could just keep doing more and more school,\u201d sighed one of the literacy students when he realized two of the four months were now complete.\u00a0 Surprisingly, he is the most educated student in the class, but he cannot get enough school.\u00a0 Every morning, he and the other students, contrary to their culture and lifestyle, show up early to wait for the literacy class to begin.<\/p>\n<p>Though the rhythmic reiteration of syllables can be on the side of boring, the students continue to come and be taught.\u00a0 Nine of the students are also being trained as teacher trainees who will be doing most of the teaching in the future classes.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to how God is going to use His Word in the lives of those who will be able to read it for themselves.\u00a0 We are already excited about doors the literacy school is opening up<!--more--> and the fact that two of the students who had never come to hear the teaching from God\u2019s Word, have been coming.<\/p>\n<p>The Patpatar believers are also halfway through their study of the book of Romans.\u00a0 We began chapter 8 this last week.\u00a0 I caught one of the men that afternoon sitting and talking to himself.\u00a0 \u201cIt is good\u2026good\u2026it is nice\u2026good,\u201d he mumbled.\u00a0 Taking the liberty to interrupt his one-way conversation I asked him what was good.\u00a0 \u201cThe lesson from God\u2019s Word,\u201d he replied, \u201cIt is really, really good.\u201d\u00a0 Another believer told me how much he is now realizing the impact of his Jesus\u2019 death, burial, and resurrection and his identity with Him.\u00a0 He explained, \u201cIt is not me, it is not my work, it is all and only God and my sitting down in Him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During part of this first half, we have had the privilege of having one of our coworkers back!\u00a0 As some of you know, we have been without our \u201cteam members\u201d since February 1<sup>st<\/sup> of this year.\u00a0 \u00a0Butch was able to come back in September.\u00a0 He has been a big help, and encouragement to us and the people as he has been with us.\u00a0 His visit it now coming to a close and he will be leaving next week as \u00a0we continue to \u00a0carry on with the last half of the classes.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for your prayers with us as the second half starts next week.<\/p>\n<p>Sitting down in Him,<\/p>\n<p>Aaron<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-213\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-luse\/files\/2011\/02\/IMG_2996-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2996\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">Kylee and friends<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fact \u2013 \u201cGut\u201d is the Patpatar word for mouse.\u00a0 Recently its use in the language has increased as it is starting to be used not only for the furry rodent, but also for the peripheral computer device.\u00a0 As we are able to, we are also introducing basic computer skills to some of the Patpatar people who have the technological world beginning to encroach on their bamboo huts and electricity free lives.
