There are still people groups in remote areas of Papua New Guinea that have not been reached with the gospel. From beginning to end, how do we reach them and plant a church in the jungle?
Move into their village. We’re there to reach them with the gospel, so we’re all in.
Learn their heart language. No one can believe the gospel unless they can understand it. The best way? In the language they grew up with.
Learn their culture – what do they believe? Why?
Teach them how to read – so they can read the Bible
Translate the Bible into their heart language.
Teach them the Bible chronologically from beginning to end. What other way is there?
Disciple the people to walk with God, recognizing leaders as they develop.
Dom has a complete New Testament and is a maturing church. Iski is teaching, translating the Bible, and discipling new believers. Kaje is teaching the first phase of teaching – Creation to Christ. The gospel presentation will be next month! (see pics above). Amdu is writing lessons, hoping to start teaching in 2020. Wantakia is the middle of literacy and will start preparing for teaching soon!Pray for these tribal works. There are 44 works in progress in Papua New Guinea! Stacy and Aaron are part of the support team keeping these tribal missionary teams in the jungle. What can you do? How can you play a part?
Aaron went to the Islands for budget and business meetings. While there, he met a tribal church elder from the Mouk tribe (of “Ee-Taow” fame) who came out of the bush for medical.
On the way back, we flew on our mission plane and visited a few tribal areas. Join our Facebook group to see some amazing pictures from that trip!
