On the Other Side

June 2, 2022 by Aaron and Stacy Jex

On the Other Side

Covid swept through our community of 200+ missionaries taking down two-thirds of our population! It affected our ability to support our bush locations. Aaron was no exception. He got covid while on a business trip to the capital city of Port Moresby and was stuck down there for another week. The girls were sick for a short time as well. Stacy was the only one in our household that escaped sickness these last several weeks. Thankfully, no one on center was seriously ill. It seems that we are finally on the other side of covid, and things can get back to “normal.”

Subbing through the Surge

Stacy was keeping the school afloat subbing in for 2/3 grade and various high school classes the past few weeks. The high school eventually had to go to remote learning for a week or two as the teachers were all down. After school starts up again next term, we may actually get a normal term of school!

Kaili was able to have a soccer season!

Days!

New Tribes Mission (PNG) has started up a school called RamuValley Academy (RVA). The goal is to give our tribal works access to quality education in PNG. Aaron is helping RVA with managing finances along with managing the Business Office of NTM PNG.

Kaili and her classmates (11th grade) went to RVA last week to help build a small store that the students there will use to learn about economics. There spent 3 days and had a blast getting to know the staff and students!

Kobe has been working at Mountain Top Coffee in downtown Waukesha and rooming with his friend and former classmate, Bradley. He will be heading back to Ethnos360 Bible Institute in August.

We need doctors! Check out the needs in this video
