{"id":392,"date":"2016-09-01T21:41:15","date_gmt":"2016-09-02T02:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-stacy-jex\/?p=392"},"modified":"2016-09-06T01:54:20","modified_gmt":"2016-09-06T06:54:20","slug":"392","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/aaron-stacy-jex\/2016\/09\/01\/392\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Journey of Faith"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/bc1a3d4243daa14633cb84f47\/images\/2f7f2d2f-8c51-4a06-b4bc-fb3f14762ab7.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dear Family and Friends,<\/p>\n<p>(Catching up on some posts from June)<\/p>\n<p>Here we go again.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been in Papua New Guinea for 10 months, and we have a medical situation.\u00a0 Kobe\u2019s knee has been giving him trouble for a while now \u2013 it was even sore for him back in America.\u00a0\u00a0 But now, it\u2019s to the point where his knee is giving out on him while he\u2019s walking.\u00a0 The doctors here have banned him from sports and PE.\u00a0 Chances are, he\u2019ll need surgery.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t it be nice to be able to just drive to the nearest hospital?\u00a0 Oh, no\u2026\u00a0 We have to fly to the closest Western nation!<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve asked God to just heal the knee.\u00a0 He could do that.\u00a0 He\u2019s God.\u00a0 We just don\u2019t want to have to go anywhere right now.\u00a0 But, we just have this feeling that God\u2019s not going to do that.\u00a0 Instead, we have to learn to trust Him all over again \u2013 and go on another journey of faith.\u00a0 Has God always provided for us?\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 Why is it that we keep having to learn that lesson all over again?\u00a0 Shouldn\u2019t we know that by now?<\/p>\n<p>So, right now, we\u2019re planning to go down to Brisbane, Australia in June.\u00a0 We\u2019re trying to arrange everything from flights to accommodations to transportation.\u00a0 We\u2019d like to take the whole family as the flights are pretty cheap now as its \u201cwinter\u201d in Brisbane (winter \u2013 as in highs of 68 and lows of 54!).\u00a0 Please pray for all these plans to come together!!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/bc1a3d4243daa14633cb84f47\/images\/1f10edcd-5949-47c9-a791-3dea80242814.jpg\" width=\"218\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kobe in a recent play at school.\u00a0 Also, his mug shot when he re-ups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We got it!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Papua New Guinea government branch that Aaron has been working with (on some very important issues) has GRANTED our request!\u00a0 This is a HUGE answer to prayer and will help ease the administrative burden of our hundreds of missionaries \u2013 not to mention the Business Office!\u00a0 Thank you for praying!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/bc1a3d4243daa14633cb84f47\/images\/c303dbbd-ba0d-4a91-883c-950bf9dfe539.jpg\" width=\"536\" height=\"195\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kobe turns 13!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We now have a teenager!\u00a0 Of course, we\u2019ve had one for a while, but now his age proves it\u2026\u00a0 He was so excited to get all his Wii games (that he found out about months ago!).\u00a0 He could barely wait.\u00a0 Now, because of his knee, he has a good excuse to play video games instead of playing outside!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/bc1a3d4243daa14633cb84f47\/images\/a241d7a2-d33d-4eae-8915-a5b12abac84a.jpg\" width=\"401\" height=\"329\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kobe &#8211; grinning with all his birthday loot<\/p>\n<p><strong>Need Teachers!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We still need missionary teachers for this next year in our high school!\u00a0 (Numonohi Christian Academy \u2013 NCA).\u00a0 Particularly in math and science.\u00a0 Pray that God would send more teachers!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stacy doing Kindergarten again?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With all the uncertainty of a missionary school overseas, the plans have changed a dozen times for next school year.\u00a0 Kindergarten?\u00a0 Junior high English?\u00a0 Kindergarten?\u00a0 Library?\u00a0 Kindergarten?\u00a0 It\u2019s bounced around for a while.\u00a0 Right now, it\u2019s currently at Kindergarten, but will probably change before this sentence is complete\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/bc1a3d4243daa14633cb84f47\/images\/189cbc2a-cafc-4340-93a8-4b0792714f3f.jpg\" width=\"643\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thanks for your prayers and support!\u00a0 Check us out on Facebook and Instagram for more recent updates.<br \/>\n&#8211;
