Teaching In Menya!<\/strong>
\nWe call it \u201cPhase 1\u201d here in our lingo.\u00a0 It\u2019s the teaching that finally starts after a tribal missionary team has learned the tribal language and graduated the first literacy class.\u00a0 Sometimes, it has taken YEARS to get to this point!\u00a0 Phase 1 starts with creation and culminates in the gospel presentation (then phase 2 continues the story).\u00a0 Phase 1 is a time of rejoicing!\u00a0 Pray for the Osborn and Chappell families as the tribal people in Menya are finally starting to hear the truth!\u00a0 Praise God with us, and pray with us, that many Menya people will attend the teaching, hear the truth, and have that truth change their lives.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Current Activities<\/strong>
\nIt seems the current trend with missions is to not have much support staff \u2013 or any.\u00a0 Aside from the fact that we are not very trendy, here in Papua New Guinea the infrastructure is not sufficient to allow us to fulfill our mission here.\u00a0 Our tribal missionaries would spend half their time getting visas granted, work permits issued, supplies purchases and delivered, with no way to pay for anything.\u00a0 Our support staff is doing much more with much less these days.\u00a0 Aaron is still serving as the Business Manager helping our 14 Business Office staff accomplish the mission here.\u00a0 Stacy is homeschooling Kiera, helping babysit for orientation folks visiting, subbing at the school, hospitality for folks coming out of the bush, and everything else she can manage along with the needs at home.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

We need construction and maintenance help here in PNG!\u00a0 Our leadership writes: \u201cAn area of critical need that we have is for skilled tradesmen.\u00a0 Specifically, we need individuals with carpentry, plumbing and\/or mechanical experience to be project managers on our centres.\u00a0 As these positions involve training and managing citizen employees, the ideal candidate would have managerial experience.\u00a0 Perhaps you know a skilled individual who could \u201cstand in the gap\u201d to fill one of these needs.\u00a0 Perhaps there is someone in one of our churches who would be willing to come for a year or two.\u201d\u00a0 See these links if you are interested.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
