Front Lines<\/h1>\n

My (Aaron’s) grandfather “flew the hump” in Burma in WWII. \u00a0I think he was the radioman on the flight crew. \u00a0Of course, the missions were dangerous. \u00a0Fortunately, he was not one of the 1,600+ that went missing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good thing he wasn\u2019t on the front lines.<\/p>\n

Come to think of it, what were the front lines? \u00a0Being part of the infantry on frontal assaults? \u00a0The ships that charted the deepest incursions into enemy territory? \u00a0The fighter pilots who shot down aircraft? \u00a0Who was on the \u201cfront lines\u201d?<\/p>\n

For that matter, who was most important in that conflict? \u00a0Being on the \u201cfront lines\u201d or everyone else? \u00a0Was it more important to be the one firing at the enemy or the one building airplanes back home? \u00a0Were generals more important than airplane mechanics? \u00a0It would be difficult to determine who the most important people were in the entire struggle.<\/p>\n

And it was massive. \u00a0It took teams of entire countries. \u00a0From Rosie the Riveter to infantry crossing the English Channel. \u00a0From those buying bonds back home to the airplane mechanic overseas. \u00a0It took a humongous coordinated team in order to win.<\/p>\n

In missions, we\u2019re in a spiritual battle. \u00a0And, we\u2019re winning! \u00a0We\u2019re taking back territory from the enemy, Satan!<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0But, we need a complete effort to make it work. \u00a0We need a whole country back home in America as part of the effort \u2013 sending\u00a0prayers<\/a>,\u00a0funds<\/a>, and\u00a0people<\/a>\u00a0to the \u201cfront lines\u201d.<\/p>\n

Who is most important in this spiritual battle? \u00a0Those on the \u201cfront lines\u201d or those \u201cholding the ropes\u201d in prayer back home? \u00a0Those who personally speak to a tribal person who believes the gospel or the pilots that flew them there?\u00a0 Mission leadership or airplane mechanics?<\/p>\n

Who is most important in this spiritual battle?<\/p>\n

Every.<\/p>\n

Last.<\/p>\n

Person.<\/p>\n

It takes a complete effort from every single God-follower. \u00a0Whether they are\u00a0translating the Bible\u00a0<\/a>or\u00a0fixing airplanes<\/a>\u00a0in order to fly the missionaries in and out of the jungle. \u00a0Whether they are back home sending prayers and support or working in the\u00a0Business Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I wonder what my grandfather thought of his airplane mechanics in WWII. \u00a0Guaranteed, he considered them as important than himself. \u00a0Guaranteed, he was grateful for every last minute they spent maintaining his aircraft. \u00a0Guaranteed, if they weren\u2019t there, he wouldn\u2019t have been flying to the front lines.<\/p>\n

Thank you for being part of our team. \u00a0We couldn\u2019t do it without you \u2013 and neither could the tribal missionaries on the \u201cfront lines.\u201d<\/p>\n
