God gave us a very good Saturday at our daughter Laura and Andrew Stalcup’s wedding, in spite of the rain! And while weddings are a lot of work, we had a lot of folks helping out to make it a very special time together to celebrate what God has brought together. We had a lot of fun with family and friends gathered! Laura and Andrew will be starting life together in Iowa, near to his great family and home church. They are thinking long range to head towards missions, gaining skills that will be useful for future ministry.
We’ve had some good news about our good Awa friend and church elder, who had fallen into sin.. our coworkers report they’ve seen a real change of heart, the repentance that we’ve been praying for! He is back living with his wife and family – they are happy to have him back, which is a work of God in the heart of his wife especially. Please continue to pray for them to work through the issues of accountability and rebuilding trust. Another concern too is that the church would be ready to receive him back – initially there has been quite strong opposition to forgive him. still room for God to work there!
Now it’s time for us to seriously get packing and saying goodbyes to return to Ecuador in 2 weeks!
Thanks for standing with us in prayer.
