Every missionary needs time to go back to their home country to spend time with family, friends, their church(es) and supporters. It’s also a time of rest, refreshment and raising more support (if needed). And this is exactly what we will be doing the summer of 2013. If you stay in touch with us via Facebook (or read a previous post here) you probably already know this. However, we wanted to make sure everyone got the update. 🙂
Support raising is NOT fun for most missionaries. I mean, we LOVE sharing about our ministry. And we LOVE sharing what the Lord is doing. But seriously, who wants to ask others for money? It’s humbling. It’s hard. And sometimes it just plain makes us nervous & scared. BUT. But this is what God has called us to do. We CAN NOT do it alone. We NEED the body of Christ to minister WITH us.
Most, if not all of you, who read this is already supporting this ministry. So we are not asking you for more support (Unless of course you feel the Lord is directing you to do that. Then by all means, feel free!). However, what we are asking you is this…
Do you know people, or other churches, that would be interested in joining this ministry? Can you hook us up? We would love to meet with them & share what the Lord is doing in Brazil. And in order for us to use our time wisely, we would really like to plan ahead. (i.e. contact them, set up meeting/sharing times, etc.) So please think about it….Can you help us?
