{"id":490,"date":"2012-03-30T09:05:53","date_gmt":"2012-03-30T13:05:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-ketcham\/?p=490"},"modified":"2012-03-30T09:05:53","modified_gmt":"2012-03-30T13:05:53","slug":"the-saga-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/2012\/03\/30\/the-saga-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"The Saga Continues&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve been waiting <em><strong>FOREVER<\/strong><\/em> to be able to write a post about something (Sorry for being gone so long!).\u00a0 But I realize now that it could be some time&#8230;.so I decided I would share it\u00a0with you anyway.\u00a0 This is our saga&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Joel&#8217;s parents have worked at PQQ for over 30 years.\u00a0 During those years they did the ministry that we are currently doing (supply buying).\u00a0 With all those years under their belts, they decided it would be SUPER helpful\/beneficial to have a truck to use. (Currently we have to use the &#8216;mission vehicle&#8217;.\u00a0 Which means we have to get permission, return it, can only use it for so much time, etc&#8230;.it&#8217;s what we have, so we do it, but it can be challenging at times.)\u00a0 So what does this have to do with us?\u00a0 Well, after a number of years raising the funds (it&#8217;s SUPER EXPENSIVE here!), they finally got <strong>ALL<\/strong> the money.\u00a0 But they are in the States right now.\u00a0 Being the wonderful parents that they are, they decided to let us go ahead and purchase the truck now so that we could go ahead and use it.<\/p>\n<p>Okay.\u00a0 First step, get the money to Brazil.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t tell you all the details, but let me tell you&#8230;this was <em>NOT<\/em> as easy as it sounds.\u00a0 But it was done.\u00a0 Second, have the money given to the dealership so we can get the truck.\u00a0 <em>NOT<\/em> done.\u00a0 Currently some of the money is sitting in a bank.\u00a0 For some reason, which we can&#8217;t quite grasp, the bank can <em>not<\/em> give it to the dealership.\u00a0 So what to do?\u00a0 Send it all back to America of course!\u00a0 Okay, doesn&#8217;t sound too hard, right?\u00a0 <em>Wrong<\/em>.\u00a0 In order to get the money sent back, the dealership has to &#8216;release&#8217; it by signing some special forms.\u00a0 Have they done that?\u00a0 <em>Nope<\/em>.\u00a0 And it&#8217;s already been a <em>couple of weeks<\/em>.\u00a0 And of course once the money gets back to America, we will once again have to get it back here&#8230;not sure how that will happen.<\/p>\n<p>So that&#8217;s the saga.\u00a0 Got money, want to buy truck, <em><strong>can&#8217;t<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Life sure does stay interesting on the mission field. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_491\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-491\" style=\"width: 717px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-ketcham\/files\/2012\/03\/IMG_0091.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-491 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-ketcham\/files\/2012\/03\/IMG_0091-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"717\" height=\"535\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/files\/2012\/03\/IMG_0091-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/files\/2012\/03\/IMG_0091-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 717px) 100vw, 717px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-491\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Truck<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve been waiting FOREVER to be able to write a post about something (Sorry for being gone so long!).\u00a0 But I realize now that it could be some time&#8230;.so I decided I would share it\u00a0with you anyway.\u00a0 This is our saga&#8230;.
