While he was answering my question, I had looked away (to turn off some music), when I looked back, his WHOLE face had already started to swell&#8230;.his ears, his eyes, lips, neck, cheeks&#8230;everything.\u00a0 So off we run home to get allergy meds.\u00a0 He pops a pill &amp; hops in the shower (by now I know he&#8217;s going to need to go to the hospital&#8230;it&#8217;s down his neck &amp; moving to his arms and chest).\u00a0If you want have an idea of what it was like, check out anaphylactic shock on Google&#8230;I didn&#8217;t take pictures during this time due to the situation (okay, maybe I was panicking just a <em>little<\/em> bit).<\/p>\n<p>For any parent, this would be scary.\u00a0 I know it was for us!\u00a0 What made it worse was that we are over an hour away from a hospital.\u00a0 But God knew.\u00a0 <em>He already had it all worked out.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When Joel got home (he was working on something on another part of campus&#8230;Summer went &amp; got him) to get ready to take Ethan to the hospital, we decided to try calling a missionary friend who is a doctor.\u00a0 She felt that Ethan was in need of meds NOW&#8230;there wouldn&#8217;t be time to get to the hospital.\u00a0 And wouldn&#8217;t you know, our neighbors had just bought the wrong kind of meds for their daughter the <em>DAY BEFORE<\/em> (our missionry docoter friend told us) &amp; it was JUST what we needed for Ethan.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_636\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-636\" style=\"width: 320px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-ketcham\/files\/2012\/08\/313680_10152175122095355_1857637489_n1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-636\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/joel-ketcham\/files\/2012\/08\/313680_10152175122095355_1857637489_n1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/files\/2012\/08\/313680_10152175122095355_1857637489_n1.jpg 320w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/files\/2012\/08\/313680_10152175122095355_1857637489_n1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/angela-ketcham\/files\/2012\/08\/313680_10152175122095355_1857637489_n1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-636\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">His provision!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So even though we didn&#8217;t know Ethan is severly allergic to blue-winged wasps, and even though we didn&#8217;t have time to go to the hospital, and even though we didn&#8217;t have an Epi-pen (we acually used a syringe &amp; a vial of medicine)&#8230;.GOD knew.\u00a0 And HE had it all worked out for us.\u00a0 Because HE loves us.\u00a0 And HE has a plan for our lives.\u00a0 I&#8217;m soooooo thankful this story turned out well- Ethan is fine.\u00a0 I know that sometimes we don&#8217;t get what we want&#8230;.loved ones die, people get hurt, there is suffering in the world.\u00a0 But I also know that <em>my<\/em> SAVIOR loves me &amp; my family far more than I can begin to comprehend!
