It's 'normal' to see kids 'soaping up' during the daily swim time.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Although we live here on the mission field, we missionaries have ‘normal days’ too.\u00a0 It’s just like all of our friends & family back home.\u00a0 Not every day has something ‘exciting’<\/em> to write about.\u00a0 And this is espically true for us since although we are a part of a larger team to reach tribal people, we are not the actual missionaries living with said tribal people.\u00a0 Needless to say, I (like MANY other missionaries) sometimes struggle with: “What should I write about?”\u00a0 “Will people find this interesting enough?” “I hope our partners don’t think we are not doing enough.” “I REALLY hope I don’t offend anyone.”\u00a0 “Is this ‘spiritual’ enough?” and I could go on.\u00a0 So sometimes it’s not the busyness that keeps me from writing, but the ‘I don’t know what to write about’<\/em> that keeps me from it.<\/p>\n

When there is only 30 mins for showers & WAY more kids than said showers, you have to get creative about how to hurry things up.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today though, I want to share something that is a normal for us, but probably not for you. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 The ‘spiritual’ part of it is this…we are here to serve at this school so that the parents of these students can do their ministries effectively.\u00a0 Some of the parents are in tribes, some are in small villages\/towns, some are pilots, some are doctors\/nurses, some are in other support roles.\u00a0 But ALL are a part of the body of Christ & we are ALL here so that the saving message of salvation through Jesus Christ can be shared with those who HAVE NEVER HEARD.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we have our kids 'soap up' too (see Josiah in the back on the far left).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

So there it is.\u00a0 Something normal for those of us living here…soaping up at the river.\u00a0 It’s nothing terribly exciting, but perhaps something a little bit different for you to enjoy to see\/read about.<\/p>\n

So that's how we roll. On a 'normal day' we say, "Kids, don't forget the soap bucket & wash up at the river!"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Have a lovely day in the Lord!\u00a0 And when you soak in the shower or tub today\/tonight, remember somewhere on the Amazon is a group of kids ‘soaping up’ so that Christ can be shared with those who have never heard of Him.\u00a0 Please pray for them & us.\u00a0 Thanks!<\/p>\n
