I’m in the USA on an 8-month home assignment. It’s been a great time of re-connecting with friends and supporters, as well as meeting new people. This month I’ve been in Washington (with a few days in Oregon). I’ve had several opportunities to share about the ministry in Asia Pacific.
When I share in churches or small groups, I always come away encouraged. I’m encouraged to see others share my excitement about what God is doing in Asia Pacific. I’m encouraged to know that others are praying for me. I’m encouraged by their questions that show they are interested and remember past prayer requests. I’m encouraged by the financial gifts that help make this ministry possible.
I’m also encouraged by the things I share with them. As I share about the work in Asia Pacific, I’m reminding myself of God’s faithfulness and of the awesome privilege of serving Him in this way. I may be the one up front talking to the group, but I’m also hearing (over and over) the stories I’m sharing, and God is using those stories to encourage me as well.
I am so grateful for this time and for how the Lord is using it to encourage me. I hope and pray that He is using me to be a blessing and encouragement to those around me as well. That is my prayer as I work with the families in Asia Pacific and also as I visit with people here in the USA. Please join with me in praying that He would use me to encourage others.
