Our time out in Taina from mid August to mid September was really good. One very pleasant surprise was the news on a newer believer who trusted Christ last year.The proof that a believer is alive with Christ’s life shows itself the same way a green bud that sprouts does from what looks like a dead twig and turns into a flower. 
In this case Christ’s life is showing itself in Lauriano’s life by a big outward change, from that of being the village scoundrel and thief, to being a nice person and honest worker. He came to share with the other believers personally of stopping stealing from all their gardens and fish traps because he had heard in God’s Word that that was sin. He shared that before he trusted Christ he lived life however he wanted with no thought that stealing was wrong. But after he was saved he heard Bible teaching that stealing was sin and God commanded his kids to not steal and to work. Christ unquieted his heart and gave him the desire to change. He shared how happy and content he is now living off of the gardens that he himself has chopped and made! I, Barry asked around the village if it was true that Lauriano had quit stealing. They said yes that is was true! So how about that!! By responding to the urging of Christ, His life shows out of us. So very neat!
