Guanano believers in Brazil have been studying the book of Galatians and recently Delfina, one of those hearing God’s Word, shared these thoughts with her unsaved friends and relatives after hearing the message of Galatians 2:20.
“Today we have come to listen to God’s story. We are a mixed group today, those who have heard this story many times and those who haven’t. We who believe are a small group, but others are coming behind us. They too are searching for Jesus.
“To those of you who are hearing these things for the first time, I say ‘Welcome.’ Listening to what God says isn’t a game. We will live and grow by means of what we hear. Those of you who are searching for truth, come along with us. Come here to listen.
“Why did Jesus come into the world? His Father sent Him. God was thinking about our sin, so He sent Jesus His Son into the world. And so Jesus lovingly came, was born, and grew up in this world. When He was around 30 years old, He died for us. To those who believe in Him, He becomes their Chief. But only those who hear His words as true, and say, ‘Yes, I believe,’ will go with Him to Heaven.
“I chose to believe. I said to Jesus, ‘You alone are the One who died for my sins. You died to rescue me who would have perished in the big fire. And now You teach me that when You died on the cross for my sins, it was like I died with You. You paid the price for my sins, and it was like they were all buried in the ground when You were. They don’t exist anymore. And when You rose from the dead, I rose with You.’
“So today, I who used to be dead and a slave to sin am alive. And so I became a believer. And now God’s waiting for you to answer Him the way I did. How long will it be before you answer Him?”
