\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Jhoni, Claudia and their family have come the five day distance from Colombia once again to study the Word of God with Lindy and Carol during this month of February 2013! Lindy, Gustavo and Mario have set aside the other work they were doing: working on revising Bible lessons for Ephesians, and revising\u00a0the 68 chronological Bible lessons we use for evangelism. These are special days, as they get to teach Jhoni and Claudia the book of Romans full time. It\u2019s like a month long spiritual retreat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gustavo and Mario co-teach with Lindy. They too are energized by being able to explain God\u2019s Word to their friends and family. Jhoni is Gustavo\u2019s nephew. Claudia is his daughter.\u00a0 Pray!<\/strong> We need the Lord\u2019s help and direction in order to teach clearly and effectively. We want to touch the deep areas of need which will bring about a true transformation of life, not just conformity to some new rules. We invite you to pray<\/strong> along with us that Jhoni and Claudia will learn to depend on the risen Christ in them in order to live in a way that truly pleases God.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a rewarding time watching Mario and Gus handle truth from Romans. These are men who used to be unsaved, ungodly and with little knowledge about the Bible let alone able to teach with skill from it. They are not teaching super fast. In fact, they got stuck in chapter 1, verse 1 for awhile. There Paul identified himself as \u201cJesus Christ\u2019s slave.\u201d<\/em> Lindy was teaching what this meant, when Gus said \u201cI want to dive into this a little deeper.<\/em>\u201d That sounds like something we\u2019d say in English, but it is a Guanano expression. When he says that, you know you\u2019re not going to move on for awhile. He likes to grab a truth, hold it up to the light, and examine all the many implications of it, as if it were a precious stone. Gustavo has been engifted by the Lord to teach, and these times of \u201cdiving a little deeper\u201d<\/em> are always worthwhile.<\/p>\n

There was another man and a woman who wanted to come with Jhoni and Claudia to study God\u2019s Word. But at the last minute, things happened that made it impossible for them to come. So Jhoni and Claudia will be responsible for taking the truth of Romans that they learn here and sharing it with the others back in Colombia. Would you take 1 minute right now and Pray<\/strong> that the Father would enable them to concentrate on what they are hearing and learn it well enough to do that. As we all know, you don\u2019t really know what you have learned until you try and explain it to someone else.<\/p>\n
