Clarity is the quality of being understandable, of making sense. This is something I often find myself in need of. I ask Father God for clarity on different things regularly. One of the ministries that I take part in is that of Church Planting and Development consultant\/coach. And clarity is what we try hard to have, going into the church development meetings with each tribal team, and what we try to end up with when we get done. We want to see a church in each of these people groups that knows, through practice of the Word, right from wrong, how to feed from that very Word, how to reach out and start new churches and see them grow up in other places. This is what Jesus defines as spiritual maturity. That is the end goal of what we are doing as His sent ones with Ethnos360. Looking at Ephesians 4:11-14<\/strong> we get the idea. \u00a0\u201cIt was he who \u201cgave gifts to people\u201d; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. 12 He did this to prepare<\/u><\/strong> all God’s people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ<\/u>. 13 And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people<\/u>, reaching to the very height of Christ’s full stature<\/u>. 14 Then we shall no longer be children<\/u>…<\/em><\/p>\n

With that goal for the body of Christ in mind Denise and I headed out using various ways of travel, flying, bus and car to get there. We first went with Phil and Val Poulson to the Gavi\u00e3o team and the church leadership there. We had so<\/p>\n

me good times as we looked at translation and lesson development goals from last year, and saw good progress! Together we set some new goals. There were goals for leadership to deal with interpersonal and sin issues. We all came away encouraged, and the church leaders and missionary team came away with a clarity for their next steps. Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n

Next, we took an 11 hour bus trip to a small city which is the jumping off place for the Yanomami teams. Denise and I met with Paulo and Patricia (on the far left) who are just coming to the point of gaining proficiency in both culture and language! They are getting ready to take on brand new jobs like translation and lesson development and discipleship and teaching. There was a jumble of things to do that needed sorting out and put in order of importance. From there we worked on making a 1 year work plan to help \"\"<\/a>guide them on how to go about it. We intensely felt the need of the Spirit\u2019s guidance and input to get this clarity because of the huge job that lay ahead of Paulo and team. We sensed that He did give clarity once again, in seeing some of the steps needed to take them towards seeing the church becoming mature.
