That’s a question many of you have been asking. So, here’s a short update from his last doctor’s appointment in September.
If you have no idea why Titus has been going to the doctor, please refer back to our previous article about Titus. For those of you who have been following this, it’s still a waiting game. Two different doctors examined him during this last appointment. They saw what looked like a growing gap between the femoral head and hip socket, which means that his bone is deteriorating. As a result, they think that he does have Perthes Disease.
This disease, however, is different for every child who has it. The process could take 2 years for one child and only 9 months for another. Basically, all we can do is wait and see how it progresses for Titus. He has another appointment in December and until then he is still not supposed to be running or jumping! Tall order for a 3 year old!!
Right now Titus is not in any pain, but it could get to be very painful and even limit his walking as it progresses. So, please continue to pray with us that God would restore the blood flow to the affected area and heal his hip. Thanks!
