Happy New Year!! We have several things to share so we thought we\’d lump them all together in one update.
1) In just a few days we will be heading to Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH to be a part of their annual missions conference. We will be speaking in several seminars, panel discussions and in a few classes. Most of our time will be spent interacting with students interested in missions. We are excited about the chance to share with the students and faculty about the needs of unreached people groups around the world. However, we are also being stretched by the responsibility of it. We\’re just amateurs at this! Lord, please give us the ability to speak and communicate clearly about Your passion to see the nations reached with the message of redemption through Your Son!
Please pray for us during January 5 — 9 while we are at the conference as well as for our sons while they stay at home with Grandma and Grandpa. And if you\’re in the Cedarville area and want to stop by our table, we\’d love to see you!
2) Titus had another appointment a few weeks ago with the hip specialist in Erie. The x-rays showed no change in his hip, but the doctor could still feel limitations in his range of motion. He also is pretty sure in his conclusion that Titus does have Perthes Disease. However, we are still in the waiting phase. Titus is not in pain and does not seem to be having any trouble with either hip. So, we don\’t know if the degeneration of the joint is over or if it will progress more. He has another appointment in 5 months and until then we are still supposed to limit his running and jumping. (For more background on Titus\’ hip trouble, read some previous articles here.)
Please pray that the Lord would heal Titus\’ hip completely.
3) It\’s been exciting in the past few weeks to see another church and several families commit to supporting us monthly! Our monthly support is now at 44% and climbing. We are still planning and making preparations to leave for Papua New Guinea in the summer of 2009.
Will you pray with us for our support to continue to grow and that the Lord would open up more opportunities to share our ministry with churches in the PA, OH and NY areas especially?
Thanks for your interest in our family and ministry. We\’d love to hear from you!
