Our extended family is spread out around the globe – parents in Pennsylvania and siblings in Washington, New York, Pennsylvania, Canada, Belgium and Ecuador. And until a few weeks ago, our family was in Papua New Guinea. The times when we can all be together are quite rare!
Since returning to the States, we have been blessed to get together with many in our family. Here are a few photos from these special reunion times.
In addition to spending time with Bart’s parents, it was a special blessing to be able to see two of Bart’s sisters (one who was about to leave to begin ministering in Ecuador) and their families. Our boys enjoyed getting reacquainted with their cousins after not seeing them for almost 4 years.
On the other side of the state, we enjoyed one day with Emily’s entire family (her parents as well as her brother and sister and their families) including some extended family from as far away as Arizona.
With one cousin about to leave the country as an exchange student and Emily’s brother’s family almost ready to return to Belgium where they are missionaries, all the cousins might not be together again for quite a while.
We have been soaking up these special family times – as well as taking lots of pictures – because more goodbyes are just around the corner.
Thanks for praying for our family as we continue to settle into life in America for this short furlough time. Please also pray for us as we begin visiting our supporting churches.
