Titus has the honor of being the first member of our family to celebrate a birthday in Papua New Guinea! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Here are a few photos of his celebration.<\/p>\n

This year Titus was wavering between asking for a sword cake and an ice cream cone cake.\u00a0 He finally decided on the ice cream cone – or so I thought!\u00a0 The morning before his birthday (the day I was making the cake) he asked if the icing he saw was for his sword cake!!\u00a0 Well, I didn’t feel up to turning an ice cream cone into a sword so we went with the cone.\u00a0 He was okay with that – maybe we’ll do a sword next year!<\/p>\n

In the heat, it really looked like the "ice cream" was melting!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We had a BBQ with the other missionaries here on the center on Saturday, so we decided to have the cake then too.\u00a0 More people to share the calories!<\/p>\n

Then on Sunday morning Titus opened some presents before we left for church.\u00a0 His birthday packages from both sets of grandparents had arrived a few days earlier!\u00a0 Mail has been taking at least a month from the States and we didn’t know how long a package from Bangladesh would take so we were excited they arrived on time.<\/p>\n

After church we went to a pool in town for lunch and some swimming.<\/p>\n
