potluck&#8230;\u00a0 Whatever you call it, we think of a church potluck as a time to get together with friends and share food and fellowship.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On our last Sunday in the Simbari tribe, we got to participate in a church potluck that was WAY different than anything we had ever experienced before.\u00a0 As with our previous post about the mumu, the best way for you to experience this is through pictures (besides being there, of course)!<\/p>\n<p>Early that Sunday morning before church, a bunch of people got the mumu going.\u00a0 (If you&#8217;re not sure about what a mumu even is, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bart-allen\/2010\/06\/09\/life-in-png-a-mumu-simbari-style\/\">click here to read our previous post<\/a><\/strong>.) \u00a0 Everyone had contributed greens and vegetables &#8211; several kind of sweet potatoes, taro, pumpkin &#8211; to be cooked and shared.\u00a0 Our family and the other missionary family contributed bags of rice and noodles (which are a real treat for the people).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1610\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1610\" believers from the church plant about an hour&#8217;s hike away had joined us for the day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_1611\"
