No matter how many times we move and how much we try to get things done ahead of time, it always seem to come down to the wire!\u00a0 And it was no different this time!!<\/strong> After a short night of sleep, we woke up on Wednesday with a few last minute things to do.\u00a0 We then got on the road to head to the Pittsburgh airport.\u00a0 First, though, we needed to stop one more time at Walmart.\u00a0 And that\u2019s where the delays began!!\u00a0 Rather than write out all the crazy things that happened on this trip, I\u2019m just going to list them.<\/p>\n

  1. Our prescription at Walmart wasn\u2019t ready because of some issue with the insurance.<\/li>\n
  2. Walmart didn\u2019t have the right size zip ties that we needed so we had to make a stop at AutoZone too.<\/li>\n
  3. We stopped for lunch at a McDonald\u2019s on the way.\u00a0 In an effort to save time, we got our food to-go.\u00a0 Bart asked for a burger with ketchup only for Luke.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t until they got in the car that they found that Luke had gotten a bun with ketchup only \u2013 not even a burger!!!<\/li>\n
  4. It was about this time that Bart discovered his credit card was missing.\u00a0 Did it fall out somewhere, did someone steal it…?\u00a0 The last time he remembered having it was at the pharmacy in Walmart.\u00a0 A call there confirmed that they did have it.\u00a0 Thankfully it was not the credit card that we use in PNG!<\/li>\n
  5. We missed a turn getting back on the highway because the route number of the road we wanted had been changed.\u00a0 We would have appreciated a sign that said something like \u2013 \u201cthis road was formerly\u2026\u201d<\/li>\n
  6. Once we got on the right road, we had to sit in traffic for a while due to bridge construction.<\/li>\n
  7. Finally at the airport, we were getting checked in and the lady helping us kept taking breaks to help everyone else in line too.\u00a0 Good for those people, not so good for us as the time for our departure was getting\u00a0 closer and closer.<\/li>\n
  8. Going through security, we had to have one of our bags rescanned several times.\u00a0 Turned out that our shiny package of baby wipes was raising some concern until they figured out what it was.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So, our morning was kind of hectic and nerve-wracking.\u00a0 We said our rushed, teary goodbyes and had our gate in view when we heard an announcement over the loud speaker \u2013 \u201cUnited passenger Bart Allen \u2013 please report to Gate C51\u201d!\u00a0 We were the last ones to board the plane!!!\u00a0 But we made it!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    And as I write this, we have made it as far as Cairns, Australia.\u00a0 We are enjoying a few days here before we head to PNG.\u00a0 After a really hectic last few weeks in the States and almost 24 hours of flying, we are feeling refreshed now and ready to get back to PNG.<\/p>\n
