We recently sent out a report to our supporting churches which included some current prayer requests.\u00a0 We wanted to share them on here as well.\u00a0 If you pray for us, would you talk to the Lord about the things mentioned below?<\/p>\n

  1. The decision about joining a tribal team<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We have shared in the past few months that we are investigating the newest tribal work in our region and are asking the Lord to show us if this is the team we should join.\u00a0 We will be meeting with the team again at the beginning of August.\u00a0 Would you please pray for clarity and unity for all of us as we meet together?\u00a0 We are also praying that God would give us a clear \u201cyes\u201d or \u201cno\u201d so that we can move ahead – either with plans to move into this tribe or begin thinking of other options.<\/li>\n
  2. For our support needs<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We are praying that the Lord would provide the balance of our needed monthly support either through new churches and individuals or through an increase in giving from some of our current financial partners.\u00a0 As we look ahead to moving into a tribe (quite possibly one that is accessible only by helicopter), our monthly expenses will increase.<\/li>\n
  3. For more laborers for the harvest field of Papua New Guinea<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 In our region alone there are at least 70<\/em> unreached tribal groups.\u00a0 There is so much need as well as opportunity to serve, but there are not many new missionaries coming.\u00a0 Besides tribal church planters, the need is great for teachers, maintenance workers, administrators, nurses\u2026 the list of those needed to support the tribal works could go on.<\/li>\n
  4. For wisdom as we interact with our friends and neighbors in the surrounding villages as well as with our fellow missionaries<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 The longer we are here in PNG, the more we learn about this culture and what the people think!!\u00a0 Almost every day situations arise for which we need much wisdom to respond in culturally appropriate ways.<\/li>\n
  5. For health and safety for our family<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We are living in a country with very poor medical care\/facilities.\u00a0 Any serious illness or injury would require an expensive trip to Australia.\u00a0 Please pray for the Lord\u2019s protection so that we can continue to serve Him here.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
