We may be far away from Amdu at the moment, but we are still vitally connected to what is going on there.\u00a0 The concerns, joys, successes and trials of our team are ours as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Amdu friends view life from a totally different perspective than we do<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In our last post, we asked you to be praying for our teammates during their language and culture evaluations.\u00a0 We are happy to share that everyone did very well<\/span> on the language portion.\u00a0 One of them is even into the final level on the language learning scale!\u00a0 There are still many things that need to be investigated regarding the culture, and that comes with hard work and time.\u00a0 Our team must be able to not only clearly communicate words in the Amdu language but also understand the thinking behind why the Amdu people do what they do.\u00a0 It is a big task and we need the Lord’s wisdom each step of the way!<\/p>\n

Some recent happenings in Amdu have reminded us that we truly are in a spiritual battle there.\u00a0 The people are happy to have us there, but at times issues come up as a result of differing cultural thinking.\u00a0 Again, we need the Lord’s wisdom as we live and work among these people and seek to understand how they view the world.\u00a0 Satan does not want the Amdu people to hear the message of the Gospel!\u00a0 Our team is in his territory and we know he would like us out of there.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Please pray for our team as we work in this very needy place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please pray that we would continue to develop strong relationships with the people and that even now the Lord would be preparing the ground for the seeds of the Gospel that are being planted even before we can communicate fully in the Amdu language.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please pray for continued unity as a team.<\/strong><\/p>\n
