\"Our<\/a><\/p>\n

In the past several months we have been traveling to many different churches to share our ministry.\u00a0 That means, though, that we don’t often get to spend time in our “home church”<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This past week we were privileged to be able to be involved in a missions conference in our home church in Meadville, PA.\u00a0\u00a0 So, we decided to do a little more than we usually do when we set up our display in a church!\u00a0\u00a0 The “hut” gave our display a little different look and feel.\u00a0 We wish we could do this in every church but it’s a little too time-consuming!!<\/p>\n

The goal of this missions conference was to help our home church understand better what it will be like for us when we get to PNG.<\/span> A missionary friend of ours who served with his family in PNG for many years came as a special speaker.\u00a0 During the week we had several home meetings where we showed pictures PNG (specifically of the region\u00a0where we will be doing our orientation), talked about the culture of PNG and did some language demonstrations to help people understand how we will learn and break down a previously unwritten language.\u00a0 We were very encouraged throughout the week and we pray that it was profitable for our church as well.\u00a0 If you’re from the northwestern PA area and would also like to hear\/experience more of what we’ll be doing in PNG, just let us know! <\/span><\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the week for us was just spending time with a humble man of God, our speaker, who was willing to share with us more about life on the field and depending on the Lord through it all.\u00a0 Our boys also had some special times with Sonni – reading, playing with Legos, hearing Bible stories in Faroese, laughing, and much more.\u00a0 All this was a rich gift from God, and we praise Him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
