{"id":43,"date":"2009-05-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-05-31T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-08-26T14:51:32","modified_gmt":"2009-08-26T18:51:32","slug":"fun-amidst-the-packing-frenzy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bart-allen\/2009\/05\/31\/fun-amidst-the-packing-frenzy\/","title":{"rendered":"Fun amidst the packing frenzy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartImportPhoto--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bart-allen\/files\/2009\/05\/2324_57202.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;margin-bottom: 5px\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bart-allen\/files\/2009\/05\/2324_57202.jpg\" alt=\"Titus during the swim-a-thon\" width=\"293\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportPhoto--><\/p>\n<p>The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of long days and late\u00a0nights&#8230;buying and packing&#8230;and repacking and more buying!\u00a0 But in the midst of all that we have had some special moments too.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Luke and Titus have both been taking swimming lessons at the YMCA.\u00a0 Recently the Y had a swim-a-thon to raise money for needy families.\u00a0 Luke was able to swim 26 lengths of the pool and Titus did 12.\u00a0 We\u00a0are very proud of how well they are learning to swim &#8211; a good skill to have for living on the coast of PNG!<\/p>\n<p>Another exciting event was that Luke lost his first tooth!!\u00a0 It had been wiggly for quite a while but when it wiggled enough to be going\u00a0horizontal, we figured it was time to pull it out!\u00a0 To celebrate, we took a break from packing and went to play miniature golf.<\/p>\n<p>We have also enjoyed getting to see Grandpa and Grandma Allen who were back from Bangladesh for several weeks.\u00a0 They&#8217;re heading back to Bangladesh and we&#8217;re heading for PNG &#8211; we&#8217;re not sure when we&#8217;ll see them next.\u00a0 A bittersweet part of missionary life!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All work and no play?
