“Give us something to cry about!” is a common line we hear from our Amdu friends on the eve of a long separation. It seems to be the customary practice to give some of your belongings to your family and friends as a memory while you are gone. In return they will cry and miss you and this is good; it’s the way that relationships work, Amdu style.
So as we were leaving to come to America last summer our friends were lining up and asking us for things so that they could cry good and proper for us while we were gone.
Well now we’re on the eve of leaving you all, and we’d like to give you something to cry about! Many of you have asked about acquiring one of our AmduStrong emblazoned t-shirts. So we have set up a way for you to get your hands on one or two. We can’t think of a better keepsake!
Just follow the link! The shirts cost $20 each. We are making a small profit and the proceeds will be used towards launching the Amdu Literacy Program teaching our friends how to read and write in their own, previously unwritten, language.
We know the t-shirts won’t be the only thing that keeps us on your minds and in your prayers. Your hearts are already so tender towards us we can’t say thank you enough. But they will make a great memory and serve to remind us al to keep trusting the Lord to make us effective for Him.
