Day 17 of 21: My little Estan

August 1, 2014 by BJ and Jill Sanders

Here is a picture of my little buddy here in the tribe!  He is just the most precious thing!  He comes to our house every day and just sits on our stairs.  If I go out to do laundry, he comes and just watches me!  If I go to hang the clothes up, he is there!  He even came to the women’s bible study and sat by me!  We don’t ever say that much, but I just love when he comes around!

He comes to church, even though his mom and dad don’t come.  I have been trying to encourage him to keep coming and listening.  I also encourage him to stay in school, as a lot of kids drop out.  I told him it’s important that he learns to read, because one day, Andrew and Cathy are going to be done translating the Bible in HIS language, and I want him to be able to read it!

I don’t know why God has placed Estan in my life!  But I have been praying for him a lot.  I just feel like God is going to use him in big ways…maybe a bible teacher later down the road.  Please pray that he trusts in Jesus!  He definitely comprehends the stories from Children’s Church (Noah’s Ark).  So please, pray for Estan!!

When we first got to the tribe, these boys followed us everywhere. Little did I know, Estan was one of those boys!
Me trying to take a picture with Estan our last day!
My little Estan! You can always recognize him, because he wears the same thing every day.
