We want to give you a quick update of our summer–if we could describe it in 3 words, it would be: TRAVEL, BUSY, & FUN!

We’ll start with the TRAVELING: We started our journey heading up north to Waukesha, WI! We got to spend 1 week visiting with all of our Cheesehead friends from church and Bible school. It was such an encouraging time! Next, we headed south to St. Louis where we spent some time with Jill’s aunt and uncle. We kept going south until we landed in Bella Vista, Arkansas, where we spent several weeks getting involved with our sending church and building relationships. We then took the journey west for 2 weeks to Oklahoma where we had a great time with Jill’s family. After that, we went back to Arkansas and last, on to the beach for a vacation with BJ’s family. We ended our journey driving 15 hours last Friday (with two kids!) back to Lake of the Ozarks in MO–where we will finish our last semester of training.

The BUSY and FUN can all be wrapped into one: We kept ourselves busy hanging out with friends and family…which was really fun! We spent the majority of our summer getting involved in our sending church, Northwest Community, where we served on different teams and joined small groups. We hate to leave all of them again! We also had the opportunity to share our vision for ministry with many of you. We feel like God is leading us to go to Papua New Guinea either in August 2013 or February 2014, where we will live among a tribe in hopes of seeing a church planted. We would love to meet with more of you over the next year! Please write us back if you are interested in getting together!

With all of the meetings that we had, we had a few more people join our financial support team and others are considering giving. It is fun watching the body of Christ work together. An encouraging result of this

summer is we are now at 14% of our budget needed to go to Papua New Guinea. Please pray that God will bring us to 100% of our budget by next summer!

This summer was a really busy, yet encouraging time. The Lord really allowed us to deepen and build new relationships. Thank you for everyone that hung out with us and loved on us!
