Olivia and I (BJ) went on a “date” to church. Sophie was sick, so Jill stayed home with her and Graham. We hiked 30 minutes to church. We made it in time for the music (all the songs are the exact same, just different words!) After the music was over, Olivia went down to the childrens’ church with “miss Kathy.”

I stayed and listened to the message…none of which I could understand (tribal language). After the (reallllly) long message was over, I leaned over to Randy (the bible teacher) and told him I wanted to say a little something, since we are leaving tomorrow. I told them (in the national language) that we loved staying with them for a month, and we were so encouraged every time we saw them or storied with them. I said we would miss them a lot! Willis (another bible teacher) said that yes we are leaving in body but not in spirit… we are always together in spirit.

Then Jenila (a young woman believer) said that they wanted to sing 2 songs for us—the first one was about how they would miss us a lot and the second one was about how God would be with us all. Then she read Joshua 1:9 for us and encouraged us that God is going with us! These believers are amazing! Afterwards, we all chatted; everyone was very encouraging.

It started pouring down rain (as it does quite frequently here.) Sometimes it rains lightly and then stops. The people here call it “giaman rain”, which means liar rain! The rain was proving that it was not “giaman rain…” So Olivia and I decided to run back in the rain! Olivia wanted to pretend that we were Flynn and Rapunzel in an underwater cavern. Olivia kept singing and saying, “See my hair?!” When we got home we got all warmed up and Jilly made us some chicken and rice and coffee (hot milk for yaya). What a great day! Thank the Lord for this group of believers and the Wusuraambya church!

Lukim yu (look-eem-you)- “See you later” Today was awesome!
