Friday, I finally got to go to the people group that I’ve been praying for for the past 6 years! \u00a0I didn’t exactly know it was them, but I prayed for the people God would one day send me. \u00a0I finally got to meet them.<\/p>\n

As we got out of the helicopter, these people were everywhere just waiting to see us and shake our hands. \u00a0I think the whole village came. \u00a0But who wouldn’t come see a helicopter and white men?<\/p>\n

It all seemed very natural to me. \u00a0I kept thinking, “this is where I’m supposed to be!”<\/p>\n

Our guys, BJ, Jack & Jeremy, have done a lot of the work before us. \u00a0They’ve walked the whole people group, they’ve stayed in every village, and they led us to this village where we will live. \u00a0Today, we had a big meeting where we signed our land agreement! \u00a0We told them again why we were coming 1)Learn their language and culture, 2)Teach them to read in their own language, 3)Translate the Bible into their own langauge, 4)Teach them the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and 5)teach them to take the Gospel out into the rest of the language and the to ends of the earth!<\/p>\n

Next, believers from 2 different surrounding languages came and supported us. \u00a0They told them that missionaries came into their place and gave them God’s talk and what it’s done in their life. \u00a0They told the people that they needed to help teach us their language so we can do the same. \u00a0Hearing these believers talk was my favorite part of the whole trip! \u00a0We heard talk after of\u00a0the Wantakians\u00a0saying, “If they would hike all the way over here to tell us this, this talk must be true!”…wow!<\/p>\n

After this, we thanked them for giving our families land for us to build our houses on. \u00a0We read our land agreement to the people and had some of the “big men” sign it. \u00a0It could not have gone any better!<\/p>\n

As I look back at this short 24 hours that I got to spend in Wantakia, I am totally amazed at how the Lord desires these people to come to Him!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
