{"id":19,"date":"2012-11-02T23:05:15","date_gmt":"2012-11-03T04:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bob-ambrosius\/?p=19"},"modified":"2012-11-02T23:06:32","modified_gmt":"2012-11-03T04:06:32","slug":"return-to-the-philippines-septoct-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bob-ambrosius\/2012\/11\/02\/return-to-the-philippines-septoct-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Return to the Philippines, Sept\/Oct 2012!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plans are finally in place, flights are booked and packing has begun for our next trip to the Philippines!<\/p>\n<p>We board our flight here in Birmingham, AL on <strong>October 16<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>!\u00a0 <strong>PRAY<\/strong> for preparations for a little more than 4 months overseas in these next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>In the months that have passed since we were last overseas, we have had the PRIVILEGE of visiting all of our supporting friends and churches, both in the Fall of 2011 and then again in the Spring of 2012!\u00a0 And what a <strong>BLESSING<\/strong> and <strong>ENCOURAGEMENT<\/strong> you all were to us!\u00a0\u00a0 Your assurances that you were praying for us and would continue to give toward our support as we worked to finally see the KALANGUYA BIBLE in print were just what we needed and we thank you for your love for us and for the Lord\u2019s work in faraway places!<\/p>\n<p>What we hope to see accomplished in the next 4 months\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First, a \u201cread through\u201d of the book of JUDGES<\/strong> \u2013 already consultant-checked but some changes have been made since that check and Bob wants to read through the book with both the <strong>Ibaloi<\/strong> and <strong>Kalanguya<\/strong> translation teams, partly to confirm those changes and partly as a language refresher for Bob!<\/li>\n<li>Working in both the <strong>Kalanguya<\/strong> and <strong>Ibaloi <\/strong>languages, with their Translation Teams, Bob will do a consultant check for the OT books of <strong>NUMBERS, DEUTERONOMY, 1 &amp; 11 CHRONICLES, EZEKIEL, ISAIAH AND SONGS OF SOLOMON<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Ibaloi team also has the books of <strong>NAHUM, JOEL, AMOS, ZECHARIAH, HOSEA and HABAKKUK <\/strong>ready for checking.\u00a0 These books are already completed in the Kalanguya language.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0A consultant check of the book of <strong>PHILIPPIANS <\/strong>and possibly <strong>COLOSSIANS<\/strong> for the Tala-Andig language translators.<\/li>\n<li>Bob wants to teach a <strong>seminar for the Kalanguya Bible teachers from the book of Daniel<\/strong> and show them how the prophecies of Daniel directly relate to the events of the book of Revelation.\u00a0 He wants them to see the important links between the Old and New Testaments!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is admittedly an ambitious schedule for Bob and the Translation Teams!\u00a0 What does NOT get finished on location in the next few months can be continued by correspondence in our ongoing work with these Translation Teams in the Philippines even when we return to the US.\u00a0 We\u2019ll appreciate your prayers for <strong>clarity of thinking, wisdom and good health<\/strong> in the months ahead!\u00a0 Pray for the <strong>TRANSLATION TEAMS<\/strong> we work with\u2026\u2026..they are under pressure too during these checking sessions and will really appreciate knowing you are praying for them!\u00a0 Thank you for your prayers and your faithful support of this ministry!<\/p>\n<p>Bob and Judy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plans are finally in place, flights are booked and packing has begun for our next trip to the Philippines!
