It is so hard to believe, but 9 years ago yesterday (yes, on Valentine’s Day), Brent and I agreed to “begin dating with the purpose of pursing mission aviation with New Tribes together.” It was a different sort of beginning for a teenage love story, seeing as we were just two idealistic kids with a shared passion for God and unreached people groups. We figured all those “in love” feelings would come, but what mattered most to us at the time is that we both believed in the calling He had set before us and we figured our love for Him would ultimately lead us into proper love for each other. WHAT!? – is probably what you are thinking, but looking back now, that’s definitely what happened. God was faithful to allow our love for each other to catch up, once we stepped out in faith to see what he had for us.
Now, it’s been 9 years (plus 2 kids) since that fateful Valentine’s Day, and I can’t help but fall on my knees before the Lord to thank Him for His tremendous faithfulness to that silly, or not so silly, commitment we made. Here we are, within a year of realizing that dream of serving unreached people groups through aviation. I will be the first to tell you that it is not, at all, through our determination or commitment or goodness that we stand at the precipice of this dream; no, it is by the grace of God that we have made it this far. So I just want to publicly thank Him for His promise to be faithful to complete the work that He began in us so very long ago…and pray that He has a lot more grace in store for us!

Hi, I don’t know you at all but we are excited for you. Our niece and nephew are in PNG at Goroka. Ray and LeAnna Finsaas. He has been praying for help for a long time. I am not sure if that is the area you are going to but they have a real burden for PNG and are excited to be a vital part of the ministry. Pilots are in great need. May the Lord bless you and keep you strong for HIM. Prayers for missions, Judy
