The Kodiak airplane is a critical project that is coming close to completion. This airplane is large, and powerful, and best of all runs on readily available jet fuel. Many of our flight programs are on hold because they are unable to get aviation gasoline. This has adverse effects on the missionaries serving in the jungle, because even if there is fuel available for a flight, it is extremely expensive.
We are so passionate about this project because it represents the body of Christ coming together from all different walks of life to accomplish a project that speeds the spread of the Gospel. In October, Bailey and I went home to California and I had the opportunity to speak on Sunday, October 1st and share all about the Kodiak project. If you’re interested you can listen to it on the EvFree of Santa Maria Website.
Some exciting news just came to us last week. A family recently purchased three Kodiak airplanes and put three $100,000 deposits down to get the airplanes ready for the mission field. As of today, New Tribes has reserved and paid for nine new Kodiaks and five of them have deposits made to equip them for the field. It is so exciting to see God continuing to move through this project! It has the potential to revolutionize the way Bailey and I will be able to serve, and that means more people in more remote locations can hear the Gospel.
