We are excited to begin our travels to the Northwest and thought we would publish our travel plans in case you feel inclined to pray for us as we visit friends, family and supporters. Our hope is that we will be an encouragement to everyone we come in contact with, and that we will be able to raise awareness of the needs that exist for reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
July 11-15: Santa Maria, CA – Sonora, CA – Eugene, OR – Yakima, WA
Visiting friends we haven’t seen in years. We hope to be able to encourage them as they see how God has been leading in our lives and how God is working around the world. We are eagerly looking foward to this time of mutual encouragement and “catching up” with old friends.
July 15-16: Yakima, WA – Spokane, WA
We have an opportunity to speak in chapel to the students currently training to be missionary pilots at Moody Aviation, Brian’s Alma Mater. We hope this will be a neat time for them to find encouragement the way Brian did when alumni would share how God’s faithfulness worked itself out in their lives.
July 17-18: Spokane, WA – Seattle, WA
We’ll be able to be with Bailey’s cousin and family, which will be an exciting time for us, as we haven’t spent much time with them, and look forward to getting to know them better.
July 18-22: Seattle, WA – Spokane, WA
We will stay with one of Brian’s former roommates and visit with several of his friends from Moody who are now teaching the next generation of missionary pilots at Moody Aviation. We hope this is a fun time to relax and encourage the instructors that God is really using them in a key role. Brian also hopes to squeeze in a little re-currency flying while in Spokane.
July 23-24: Spokane, WA – Coeur d’ Alene, ID – Sandpoint, ID
We hope to stay at the home of some dear friends of ours from Santa Maria, who unfortunately cannot be there. We are, however, hoping to go with their grandchildren and visit Quest Aircraft Company’s Kodiak factory in Sandpoint, ID.
July 25-26: Coeur d’Alene, ID – St. Regis, MT
Meet a new friend of ours and his family as they are on summer vacation in his home town in Montana. We met them at our new supporting church, Cornerstone Community Church, where he is the family pastor. We look forward to seeing his hometown and having more time to spend with a really neat family.
July 26-29: St. Regis, MT – Kalispell, MT
We are taking part in a family reunion on Brian’s side of the family near Glacier National Park. We hope to have time to relax and reconnect with family we haven’t seen in years. We hope to be an encouragement to the believers in our family and the unbelievers alike.
July 31-August 4: Kalispell, MT – Phoenix, AZ – Palm Springs, CA / McNeal, AZ
Drop Bailey off at the airport to fly to Palm Springs, CA for a short vacation with her family and friends. Brian will continue on to McNeal, AZ. Once in McNeal, Brian will unpack our things into our single-wide trailer and settle in so that we are able to come back from Mexico and start classes.
August 5-11: McNeal, AZ – Tijuana, Mexico
Brian will drive from our home in Arizona, to meet Bailey and a team from our home church who are coming down to Mexico for a week-long missions trip. Bailey will be in charge of a group of a girls who are teaching in various capacities to the Mexican church, and Brian will be teaching our California youth group everyday in their morning Chapels. Pray that this will be a time of eye opening for both the Mexican church and our team.
August 11: Tijuana, Mexico – McNeal, AZ
We will end our travels in McNeal just in time for our orientation classes to begin on Monday August 13.
One word comes to mind when I think of all we have planned for the summer, “YIKES!” Please pray for safety, great times of mutual encouragement, and that the logistics of meeting everyone will work out according to God’s plans. Thanks so much.
