Brian’s First Kodiak Flight!

March 25, 2008 by Brian and Bailey Pruett

The Kodiak sure looked good in our hangar.

We finally had an opportunity to fly the Kodiak! That’s right, last month the first production Kodiak came to New Tribes Mission Aviation for us to try it out. Brian got to fly on a short flight with the owner and Bailey, along with 6 other people (9 total). It was so great to see it first hand.

It was very exciting to see that it does in fact perform just as well as we had hoped. What an answer to prayer! This was serial number one, and more are already rolling out of the Sand Point Idaho factory as we speak. It won’t be long before we receive our first and begin the process of implementing them in tribal works around the world. What an answer to prayer!

Jim Ferguson, a.k.a. “Serial No. 1”  was one of the founders of NTMA. Here he is checking out serial number one of  the Kodiak. It was really neat to be a part of this big event, and to see Jim witness a new generation of aircraft come into the fleet.
