We realized this week that it’s time to shift gears again and start focussing on our return to the Philippines. As of now our plan is to return during the last week of August, and we need to be packed up in the first week of August. We have a lot to accomplish to do this, but it isn’t nearly as daunting as the first time we moved overseas. The challenge for us this time is that we have a lot of ministry related work to do in the midst of packing, planning and saying good byes. We would sure appreciate your prayers as we work hard at balancing everything.
It is a little strange to begin packing up when we don’t have the funds to purchase airline tickets yet. It isn’t the first time we’ve been in this situation and we’re trusting a God who has an amazing track record at providing for these little things – and other things like building the universe, saving mankind from sin’s ultimate penalty…you know little stuff! I guess that’s why we are comfortable enough with the situation to move forward at full speed.
We are still working at raising support for our next term along with a number of one-time needs that we have. If you’re wondering what some of these needs might be, feel free to contact us and we can send you information about the kinds of things missionaries like us need to plan for when it comes to returning to an overseas ministry. Otherwise, please pray for us and drop us a note from time to time to let us know you’re praying.
