After hours and hours of research, we couldn’t find a complete set of records for the car. We are thankful that our search ended quickly, and didn’t drag on forever. We contacted people we needed to contact quickly and received responses quickly. What a blessing, even if it wasn’t the answer we hoped for.
We are missing a stretch of 2-3 years where the oil was changed at a Shell Quick Lube station that is no longer in business. We called Lexus and they have offered to perform an inspection for free and then decide what they will do later. We will tow the car to Springfield, Missouri next week and we just pray that they will be gracious.
Pray for a safe trip to Springfield, and that we will find honest and gracious people to work with. We don’t really have much of a case, and judging by the way Toyota has dealt with this issue, we are likely to be blamed for the issue. Brian is getting tired of dealing with this problem, and it is frustrating to get caught up in an issue like this.
