{"id":2,"date":"2009-12-17T11:59:30","date_gmt":"2009-12-17T16:59:30","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2012-02-08T10:38:37","modified_gmt":"2012-02-08T15:38:37","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_103\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-103\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/Daywitt5-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-103  \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/Daywitt5-3-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Bryan, Shara, Brayden, and Corbyn\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/Daywitt5-3-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/Daywitt5-3.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-103\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bryan, Shara, Brayden, and Corbyn <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Bryan&#8217;s Testimony<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_55\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-55\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/IMG_0129.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-55 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/IMG_0129-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Bryan\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-55\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bryan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">It was a privilege for me to be born and raised in Oregon.\u00a0 I was nurtured in a Christian family environment along with my 4 siblings.\u00a0 I learned about who God was and about His stories throughout the Bible.\u00a0 When I was 8 years old, an older Christian lady had just died and I remember asking my mom lots of questions as to where the lady was now.\u00a0 My mom explained that she was in heaven because she believed that Jesus had died for her sins.\u00a0 I remember thinking that I wanted that too because I didn\u2019t want to go to hell.\u00a0 That was for bad people.\u00a0 I prayed with my mom, believing that Jesus did die for my sins and that He rose from the grave and is alive in heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">At the age of 12, at Fir Point Bible Camp, I was challenged by the speaker as he emphasized the relationship that we as Christians have with Christ.\u00a0 It was the first time that I realized the hour-by-hour, <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">day-to-day relationship that Christ longs to have with me.\u00a0 When I rededicated my life to the Lord that week,\u00a0 I knew it would be a long journey of growing and learning to follow God and His plans for my life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During my high school years, I was a \u201cgood Christian\u201d in the eyes of others, but Christ\u2019s presence in my life had little reality.\u00a0 As I went away to college I felt I could now do whatever I wanted. What I really needed was to discover whether this Christian faith was my parents\u2019 or really mine.\u00a0 I got involved in a solid Bible church at their College\/Career ministry.\u00a0 This was the first time, I began to have a hunger for the things of God and a desire to live and serve God as He wants.\u00a0 God surrounded me with genuine, godly friends who were huge examples and encouraged my daily walk with Him.\u00a0 I am so thankful for a God who doesn\u2019t give up on you and me and always desires to draw us to Himself.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/IMG_0228.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-56 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2009\/12\/IMG_0228-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Shara\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-56\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Shara<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Shara&#8217;s Testimony<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was also born and raised in Oregon (Grants Pass), just 3 hours away from Bryan.\u00a0 It was a privilege to have Christian parents and an older sister who were the biggest influences in my life.\u00a0 God and I met when I was 4 years old.\u00a0 I understood that He was the big Daddy and I wanted to be His child.\u00a0 I knew how often I did bad things, and I did them everyday, so there was no way I could be perfect.\u00a0 Yet this \u201cDaddy\u201d loved me so much that He sent His Son to die in my place.\u00a0 And I said, \u201cThat\u2019s my Daddy!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When I went to Jr. High my relationship with God\/Daddy became more than just going to heaven to be welcomed by this amazing Dad.\u00a0 I slowly realized through my Christian family and church body that I could have a relationship with Him and live a new and different life with His help, and I wanted that.<\/p>\n<p>The Lord placed me in the midst of an outstanding youth ministry that taught me the truths of God and what it really looked like to function and serve in the body of Christ and grow intimately with my Father.\u00a0 As I matured, I became very involved in different ministry opportunities and loved it. He is the extreme go- getter and seems to be drawn to anything that has an engine, wheels, and that moves fast.
