Learning how to make a fishing pole with hook and line!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

First you must learn how they make fishing poles from bamboo.<\/p>\n

All the boys ready to go!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

They made two kinds of poles. \u00a0One was made from a long bamboo stick, much like our kind of fishing pole. \u00a0The one Bryan is holding is made from a short bamboo stick with a lot of fishing wire. The fishing wire is wrapped around the bamboo stick. \u00a0They unwind it when they fish.<\/p>\n

I don’t think they caught anything but it was fun anyway. \u00a0This was a father son outing because hukim fis is a man’s job. \u00a0(Later we found out that meri’s can fish too!)<\/p>\n
