the plant into the ground with hands<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next we collected parts of adult Kau Kau from a different garden. \u00a0(If you are friends or from the same clan, than you can pick from each others garden!) \u00a0We brought them back to where we were digging. \u00a0Then we took three little plants and gathered them together and swimmed them into the ground. \u00a0(You hold them with you&#8217;r hands and push the ends into the ground leaving the tops exposed.) \u00a0This was a lot of fun. \u00a0Somtimes it worked out great and other times you would have to do it over. \u00a0But all in all it seemed very simple. \u00a0Fun fact: Kau Kau is not native to this country. \u00a0It was brought into the country about 300 years ago by the\u00a0Portuguese. \u00a0It grows very well here and has remained as a staple food.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_573\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-573\" style=\"width: 319px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2012\/08\/DSC_0056.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-573\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2012\/08\/DSC_0056.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"319\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2012\/08\/DSC_0056.jpg 319w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/bryan-moritz\/files\/2012\/08\/DSC_0056-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 319px) 100vw, 319px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-573\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ready to grow!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was a great leason is working in the garden. \u00a0We had a lot of chances to try out our language skills as they were slowly growing. \u00a0Made many mistakes and had lots of laughs. \u00a0Spending time with our PNG friends in their gardens was priceless!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
