Hello friends and family,
I just wanted to start out by expressing a huge thank you for all of your prayers over the past months and for your continued prayers for our family. We are truly blessed to have so many dear friends and family praying for us.
As a family we are doing well. The older two, Deslianne and Cohen, are doing very well with the transition of having two baby sisters. They love holding and giving Avonlea and Tessa Jo kisses. They play hard outside almost everyday and are enjoying the spring time with their cousins and grandparents. Avonlea and Tessa Jo are doing very well. They are both growing and gaining weight just like they are supposed to. We are figuring out how to manage two newborns at once and, as you can imagine, we are tired most of the time. Thank you again for praying us through this transition time. The girls are almost 1 month old and it is crazy how fast a month has gone by. We would love your continued prayers for healing in Emily, the growth of the babies, and continued transition as a family.
What are our plans? We are currently in the process of getting Avonlea and Tessa Jo’s passports. The timing of when we can return to Mexico is in the Lords hands, but we are desiring and trusting him to make the transition south in early June. Please pray that their passports would come in a timely manner so that we can head on back down to Mexico. We are enjoying our time here in Washington with the girls, helping a bit on the farm when we can and continuing to practice our Spanish as we are able. We know that it may take longer than we want to get their passports but we are trusting God to guide our steps.
When we get back to Mexico we will be continuing with full time language and culture study. It will be a big learning curve figuring out how to study well and raise 4 kids 4yrs. old and under, but we know that the Lord will give us the grace and strength to find a new rhythm of life and ministry. We are also excited to rejoin our fellow missionaries who are in language study and introduce our girls to them. We are still trusting the Lord to work with and see the Church of Christ grow in the indigenous people groups in Mexico. Please continue to pray for the unreached in Mexico and for the missionaries currently engaged in reaching them with the Good News.
- Pray for continued healing for Emily and for the transition of having two newborns and being a family of six now.
- Pray that we would trust in the Lord for strength and grace as we are tired and a bit overwhelmed (sometimes “overwhelmed” feels like an understatement!)
- Pray that the Lord would allow paperwork to come quickly and that we would wait patiently for His timing in returning to Mexico.
- Praise God for healthy babies and that Emily is doing so well!
In Christ’s Love,
Caleb, Emily, Deslianne, Cohen, Avonlea and Tessa
