Mountain Vehicle Opportunity:
As you know our goal has always been to work with an indigenous people group here in Mexico and most of these indigenous groups live in the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is an extension of the Rockies that go down through Mexico. These places are hard to reach, and the roads are not maintained much at all and for that reason almost every missionary that works in these remote areas has a 4×4 truck. We realize that once we are done learning Spanish here in the city, we will most likely have to get a truck for our ministry in the tribe.
Another thing that we will be doing of during our time in Spanish study is the visiting several of the existing works in the mountains. We are hoping to visit at least three of the locations where missionaries are currently serving or have served in the past. Each of these 3 locations have huge needs for more missionary families to join, and we would be using this truck to visit these remote mountain locations, seeking the Lord’s guidance for us as a family.
Unexpected Plot Twist:
Our fellow co-workers who were about to move out to the tribe with their Ford F-250 but have now taken on the role of overseeing training national Mexicans to become missionaries.
They are offering us their truck!
We are short $5,000
It’s an opportunity to invest in our future as missionaries in the mountains that we are excited about and are prayerfully moving forward with this idea to see if it is what the Lord has for us. Would you join us in prayer as we ask God to raise the funds for this truck?
We are settling into our new house and slowly getting things all set up. We love the area that we found a house in. The neighborhood is a gated community, and we are at the end of the road so not much traffic comes our way. We are much more encouraged in this neighborhood seeing as how we have already meet two of the families that live next to us. We are very excited for our time here as we continue to learn Spanish and the Mexican culture.
- That Lord would make it clear if this is the truck he has for us through the provision of the needed funds.
- That we would be able to make friends and settle into our new house.
- Wisdom in organizing our time well as we will be starting up Spanish study again as well as homeschooling Dezi and raising the 4 kids.
- Praise for this new house we are making into home!
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support! We could not be here in Mexico without you!
In Christ’s Love,
