Later, their son, Tomita, became a believer and together with his girlfriend came to study at the Brazilian Bible Institute where Gwen and I were working.\u00a0 The couple married, finished the three training institutes and then proceeded to a tribal work.\u00a0 On a furlough time while they were in southern Brazil, Tomita was in a fatal car accident and in which his wife and two daughters were severely injured.\u00a0 Their son, Thiago (James,) who was twelve at the time, was not in the car.<br \/>\nIn our last letter we presented\u00a0 Thiago as one who is part of our translation team.\u00a0 How thankful we are for this second generation missionary. After completing his university training, he entered New Tribes Mission Bible <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-122\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/calvin-taylor\/files\/2011\/11\/ThiagoeLeticia.jpg\" alt=\"Thiago e Leticia\" width=\"174\" height=\"142\" \/>Institute where,\u00a0 after completing the course, he has been teaching for the last two years.\u00a0 He just recently married Leticia, and they are faithfully serving at the Bible Institute.<br \/>\nRight now they are helping to organize a large \u201cExtreme Camp\u201d, November 12-15, for the purpose of challenging high school and college age young people with the need for missionaries to do tribal evangelism.\u00a0 In January, Thiago and Leticia plan to continue the two remaining phases of training, trusting the Lord to direct them into some area of reaching tribal people.\u00a0 They will appreciate your praying for them.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your partnership with us.<\/p>\n<p>Yours to reach the unreached!<\/p>\n<p>Calvin and Gwen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soon after W W II a Buddhist family from Japan, called Ishy, immigrated to Brazil.
