Here’s or latest update, \u00a0 August 15, 2015 \u00a0 :: \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>We write to you to keep in touch\u00a0so that you can understand a little about what is\u00a0happening with us. If you are anything like us, you know that we can\u2019t relate everything that we are going through, but we have heard enough from the Word to be r\"\"eminded that the Lord is attentive and answering the deep needs in our hearts and families just as he is with yours.<\/span><\/p>\n

We hope that we have made it clear that we are most grateful to you for the prayers and gifts that you continue giving us for our support. It is amazing and very encouraging.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are continually reminded of the changing times, especially in our work.\u00a0 Sometimes we see remote\u00a0peoples even being exposed to technology that will eventually change their lives.\u00a0 Perhaps these changes\u00a0 should give us a sense of urgency so that the Bible will be able to be read easily in all languages soon.\u00a0 There are many\u00a0 yet to be put into writing.\u00a0 I can\u2019t imagine it, but someday maybe a tribal person will be studying the lessons we are translating on a Kindle in his own language. Our translation team\u2014Rute, Lailma, Claudio, and Giovana\u2014are working on new material right now\u2014Books 5 & 6 of the new series.\u00a0 There will be long hours of translation checks, corrections, and formatting to do by five other team members, Thiago, Rejaneide, Emilia, P\u00e9rcio and me. These are lessons in Romans and Ephesians for new believers. Thank you so much for praying for our team and this project.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you probably know, Gwen and I were able to attend the celebration of my dear Mom\u2019s 100<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> birthday in March in Brazil. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We four siblings, some of the grandchildren, and great grandchildren\u00a0 along\u00a0<\/span>with 350 people were there for the praise service in thanks to the Lord for Mom\u2019s life and service.\u00a0 For the last couple of months, Mom\u2019s \"\"health has deteriorated due to congestive heart failure.\u00a0 My sisters, Carleen and Beth, and their husbands, and more recently our baby brother Hudson, are faithfully providing the 24 hour care she needs at this time.\u00a0 The local doctor has helped them set up what he calls a \u201cdomestic ICU\u201d in her bedroom, making it possible for her to remain at home.\u00a0 Dr. Fernando has shown interest in understanding why both Mom<\/span><\/p>\n

and her caregivers have such peace. Let\u2019s\u00a0 pray for him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, we thank you for your love and care for us.<\/span><\/p>\n
