Pracitcal Skills & Simple Living

We just finished our Practical Skills/Simple Living classes. Not only did we have classes about living in more rural areas, but we also had simulations.
We had limited electricity and were challenged to limit our water use.

and suturing.
Pig feet were used to practice suturing, as we learned how to maintain as much of a sterile environment as possible, even outdoors.

Part of it included only cooking from scratch.

The kids said their favorite part of simple living was the candles (we had limited electricity during this time).

As fun as it was to live simply for 2 weeks, we realize that this kind of living may be necessary wherever we work in the future. Pray for us as we continue to learn how to live a simpler life so we can minister to others more effectively.
